Earth Activation Magic Pilgrimages--A New Way of Bridging with Earth with Maria Yraceburu

Maria Yraceburu is a diiyin (HolyOne), an Elder, a Wisdomkeeper, a teacher and a traditional healer.  Born into a lineage of spirit medicine and trained from early childhood on by her grandfather Apache Juan Ten Bears Yraceburu, her work is centered on the ancient oral traditions of the Apache-tlish diyan teachings and practices of earth.  Maria has spoken at conferences and panels such as the United Nationʼs Dialogues on Peace and 21 Millienium Congress Conference. Her eight books have been published in five continents and over 50 countries around the world.

Maria is also the founder of Yraceburu EarthWisdom, a New Mexico 501c3 nonprofit eco-spiritual community, working the manifestation of the Taanaashkaada Sanctuary Earth Wisdom Learning Center in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.  I have been on several of Maria's pilgrimages, going to Hopi Mesa, Hawaii, Chaco Canyon and Canyon de Chelly--each of which was life-changing.  I asked her to write about her pilgrimages for this blog.

Stay tuned for my interview of Maria, once she returns from her current pilgrimage to Canyon de Chelly, which was completed yesterday.  --Kaliani

"As diverse in their powers as the geography of their locations, the activating 5th World Vortices all share a relevance for earth-human evolution, found in myths and prophecies of the Indigeous.  Whether their activation helps us speak our truth, or open our hearts, in the United States there are vast numbers of these time-space fountains of energy preparing to be activated, each in sequential time.

The pilgrimages I design – choreograph, is actually a better word – are concerned with the spiritual activation and maintenance of sixteen sites. I have prepared my whole life for this moment.  The power places I am responsible for each has its own needs of reciprocity--giving and receiving in balance.  This is satisfied by a prescribed set of rituals generally performed during pilgrimage.  The rituals we conduct are drawn from the sacred mythologies and prophecies that are accessed after physical signs are identified on the earth, within the stars, and/or general human decorum, signifying that, "THE TIME IS NOW."

During each pilgrimage we recount heroic tales of spiritual transformation, set the stage for prophetic fulfillment, and enact rituals that tune us in to the energy and information of the vortex where we gather, and in doing so, come into relationship with it.  The ability to choreograph the ceremonies and read the signs has been past down through my family for over 13 generations.  The pilgrimages and ceremonies are a way of aligning our lives in time--in the present, as well as with the future and the past.  Along the way, I gather with me those who are drawn to the specific time, place or energies.  Those who join me bear witness through their experience, to the superb transformational energies that are readily available to all of us.

For me, as diiyin, I will travel to power places over the course of the next several years.  As a result, a pattern will be set.  Then, I will begin the cycle anew in maintenance work, or guardianship.  In the task of up-keeping 5th World Sacred Sites, there are ways of permanently engaging with the 7 Dimensions of Time.  EarthActivation Magic Pilgrimages are just that – magic from earth that activates certain energies and events.  The land herself shapes us and nurtures us.
